Chase!

We had an interschool meet-up thingie (I forget the exact term for it; starts with an S) between Xavier and Poveda, and it was held in Xavier. Each class was assigned another class from the other school, and we mingled with each other: played a few games, made some small talk, and so on.

I thought there was this particularly sweet looking girl and I found myself just looking at her on a few occasions, like one might do when one sees an attractive thing. I was like, “Wow, I’m not sure why I’m looking at her but I’m attracted to her.”

I’m not sure if anyone noticed. And me being my awkward self, I didn’t talk to her unless I was required to (games, etc). I had a feeling some of the girls (and my classmates) noticed, though, because a few weeks later, during a “post interschool meet-up thingie” (again, starts with an S lol) chat, the name of the girl was brought up, and then someone just asked me, “Chase, crush mo ata siya eh!”

I denied it. I think I mumbled, “Hinde, gago, hindi kaya.” ROFL

I never acted on it. So my classmate made a move and the next thing I know, they’re going to prom together and that they were a couple already.

That’s not the embarassing part yet. XD

So, anyway, during prom, we kind of bumped (not literally) into each other at the doors to the bathroom, and our gaze met. And I was like, “Uhhh,” and she was like, “Err,” and then we both just turned around and I walked away.

That wasn’t just embarassing. It was awkward and damn tragic, too! /sadface

Me being the noble guy, I just forgot about her and denied what I thought about her. Of course, keep doing it and it’ll disappear, and that’s what happened. My classmate and her broke up about a year or so later, but I didn’t bother going after her.

Because I didn’t get her number or anything. OH GOD THE TRAGEDY LOL
